HEAD BREWER & MANAGING PARTNER
Loves: Our location, the alley, small nimble brewing setup. Making historic beers, and developing new recipes. Talking to people about the science in brewing beer. What beer? It varies. Ask me.
Outside Sketchbook: Spending quality time with wife and daughters, baking, driving on the snow, building and fixing stuff. I Worked as a software engineer and project management prior to starting Sketchbook and enjoy problem solving and making things more efficient. I like to explore all styles of food and beer while travelling in the US or abroad. On my spare time I enjoy fixing and thinkering with things.

Outside Sketchbook: Professor of Sound and Media Art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (30+ years). Sound and Media Artist and Musician. Loves: To imbibe, especially when it comes to beer. Whether drinking or serving or talking and learning, there is so much to absorb. I love working at one of my hometown’s staples. So grateful to be here.
Outside Sketchbook: I love to express myself through many outlets. These include cooking for friends and family, playing violin and piano, seeing live music, dancing and hula hooping. Most importantly, I love being a mom to three beautiful daughters and wife to my high school sweetheart.

Outside Sketchbook: A native of Queens, the Mets will always be his baseball team but he loves the Bears. Once hiked a glacier in New Zealand.

Loves: Changing people's notions about beers they wouldn't ordinarily try and introducing them to their new favorites in the process, the incredibly welcoming, communal atmosphere in the taproom and getting to know all our amazing, sweet, kooky regulars!! (You ALL know who you are!)
Outside Sketchbook: Closet karaoke fanatic, Harry Potter expert, avid puzzle/word game solver, sucker for any cute animals, and I bleed Cubbie Blue!!

Loves: The culture and vibe that has been created at Sketchbook is what the craft beer community is all about. The people, atmosphere, and especially the beers, are the best!
Outside Sketchbook: I spend my free time checking out live music, catching a ballgame, hitting the gym or running trails, and exploring all the area breweries that make the Chicago beer scene what it is. Nothing quite like a run along the lakefront followed by a tasty craft beer.

Outside of Sketchbook: Listening to/making harsh noise & industrial music. Playing video games. Sleeping

Loves: Good food, good beer, and good company to share it with. Dancing behind the bar all day. Talking people’s ears off. When people bring their dogs by and we get to meet them.
Outside of Sketchbook: I’m an avid jewelry maker, cook, and fantasy novel enthusiast and I’m unsuccessfully trying to learn Spanish on Duolingo. My goal in life is to one day keep bees.
