Sketchbook Brewing Has Summer Covered: 
Expansive New Beer Garden @ Sketchbook Skokie seats 150
     

SKOKIE, IL (June 25, 2021) – Sketchbook Brewing is now welcoming guests to an expanded Beer Garden at its Skokie location, 4901 Main St. Sketchbook Skokie’s new Beer Garden is a relaxed and inclusive haven for craft beer lovers, the perfect destination this summer as pandemic restrictions dramatically loosen. Thanks to the Village of Skokie who supported this improvement.

Special features include:  

·       Expanded Patio with 18 tables: vintage German beer-hall style tables as well as patio tables with umbrellas. 

·       Lawn Seating on gorgeous new grass under trees in lounge chairs and picnic tables decorated with stencils (Beer is Art, etc.) Bring your blanket and spread out! Cornhole bag toss games!

·       Garden Elements including native grasses, a variety of perennials, and a few new trees. Thanks Kettelcamp & Kettelcamp Landscape Associates.

·       No Reservations Needed: We are happily dropping COVID-19 restrictions which required reservations and time limits. First-come, first-seated.

·       Party-friendly: Parties of 14-25 can guarantee sitting together by making a reservation on Tock.  

·       Dog-friendly: We welcome well-behaved dogs on leashes. 

·       Family-friendly: Children of all ages are welcome. We serve non-alcoholic kombucha and cans of soda and have board games available

·       Weekend Food Events:  Count on food truck and pop-ups every weekend.  Our event calendar has the details. 

·       Air-Conditioned Spacious Interior Seating for those hot and humid days.
Fun stuff? A shuffleboard game, design-forward bar, and a rotating vintage furniture pop-up from Swantiques in Skokie. 

 

Visitors will want to know:

·       Hours: Friday & Saturday noon to 11, Sunday noon to 8, Monday closed, T-Th, 2 pm to 10 pm. 

·       Plentiful parking is available in the lot directly west of the building & across Main St. in two additional lots.  See here for details.

·       BYOFood: Light snacks and Candelite pizza are always available, and customers are welcome to bring in outside food or order from local restaurants. 

·       Evanston Location: Our mother-ship taproom is located at 821 Chicago Ave., right off the Main St. stops (Purple Line & Metra). 

 

Sketchbook Brewing was founded in 2014 in Evanston, Illinois, and expanded to Skokie in 2020.  Powered by a loyal membership program (550+) and fans who appreciate the brewery’s wide variety of styles, Sketchbook is growing quickly, while maintaining its DIY roots and supporting progressive causes through beer promotions and events.

·       Cajun Weekend July 2 & 3: Live Cajun Music on the Skokie Lawn + Food! Music 6-9 pm, food pop-up by Bumba Roux. FB event.

·       Art Installations Continuing: Currently on display is a vintage bike suspended above the entrance atrium, and an 8’ x 4’ whimsical painting by founder Alice George entitled Brew Day at Sketchbook.  Coming soon: an 84-piece felt wall installation (designed by Could Be Architecture) and featured artwork from local gallery at A+ C Architects.  

·       Space x Sketchbook on July 9-11: Three rock concerts will be presented by Evanston’s Space out back by our silo.  Limited # of tickets on sale here. And stay tuned as Sketchbook rolls out a variety of music events in both locations.
